About us

At Main Quest BJJ our mission is to build and maintain a community centred around a love for the practice of jiujitsu, where individuals can come together to train, connect, and improve both their technique and their lives. Whether your goals are as simple as fitness, or making friends, or as ambitious as being a world champion, we have the tools to help you achieve those goals. Our commitment to technical development is second to none, and we work hard to foster in our students a passion for learning. We are committed to developing better jiujitsu, and through jiujitsu, helping people to better themselves!

Main Quest BJJ is the passion project of Canada’s top no gi jiujitsu coach, and one of the county’s all-time best competitors, Corey Guitard. After building 10th Planet Montreal into one of the best clubs in the country, and training, teaching, and competing all over the world, coach Corey and his family decided to relocate to beautiful Calgary to build something new, and to bring a level of No-Gi technique not yet present in the province of Alberta. Though all martial arts academies start small, we expect our school to grow into a thriving community of jiujitsu lovers, working together each day to improve their skills and to help build one another up both as athletes and as individuals.
